NWAAA work across the County of Wrexham, we have an office base at Coedpoeth.

We work with adults who are disabled and we work with older people.

We can provide advocacy services to people who need extra help to be involved in their care planning and care assessment.

We can also work with people who are struggling to get their voices heard or their make their own choices about their life.

Our aim is to help people understand their situation so they can make the best decision for themselves, then to make sure that other people  respect and act on the decision made.

These are some of the issues we support people with:

In Wrexham NWAAA are involved in supporting community groups, self-advocacy groups and other people involved in collective-advocacy.

We work in partnership with the voluntary and community sector and make sure that there are good links between people and services, groups and government.

Out of County

For vulnerable people receiving social care services and living in North Wales who are from other places in the UK, we are able to provide an advocacy service if the placing local authority agrees to pay for that service. We welcome any enquiries about this.

Nwaaa passionately believes in enabling people to overcome problems and make informed choices that will improve their lives. We aim to work with people before a situation becomes a crisis, and we aim to work in a way that supports independence and participation. This is called empowerment.

Nwaaa values diversity and difference and will work hard with or on behalf a person who be-lieves they are being excluded or disadvantaged because of who they are. This means we fight for equal opportu-nities and human rights.
